JOB SUMMARYThe Business Analyst (II) acts as a liaison between the Operations departments, Quality Assurance and Technical resources by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems. They work to develop, confirm, and document functional and technical requirements using various methods. A Business Analyst (II) may play a broader support role internally for larger projects.This is not a remote position, at this time. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Research, evaluate, and analyze data and work flow processes to develop business requirements and/or present recommendations on process improvement and new project requests</li><li>Facilitate meetings across multiple departments to ensure accuracy of business and user requirements, develop test scenarios, acquire user approvals, and coordinate training</li><li>Facilitate work sessions with technical resources and Quality Assurance to ensure all parties understand the business needs, and to discuss potential solutions, timelines, and any project dependencies</li><li>Work independently and lead assignments/projects of low to moderate complexity</li><li>Accept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionally</li><li>Provide troubleshooting and analytical support to end users or other IT staff when necessary</li><li>Adopt the culture of responsibility and accountability for one's own and other team members' contributions to the success of the company</li><li>May be involved in QA/UAT activities</li><li>As needed, miscellaneous duties as assigned by management</li></ul> Primary Skills & Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience in professional work preferred</li><li>5+ years of experience as Business Analyst</li><li>Extensive experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements</li><li>Specific knowledge of Insurance Industry operations preferred</li><li>Act in accordance with established IAS Standard Operating Procedures and maintain confidential information</li><li>Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills for varying audiences within the organization</li><li>Display flexibility with priorities within a dynamic work environment</li><li>Exhibit self-direction and proactive problem solving</li><li>Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field</li><li>Demonstrate successful hands on project experience with varying scope and size</li><li>Use tact when expressing ideas or opinions to respond to objections successfully.
