About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Splunk Platform Product Management team. This candidate has several years of Splunk Enterprise experience engaging with Fortune 100 customers and assisting them on their journey to the Cloud. You are organized, positive, and passionate about working in a rapidly changing environment. Are you up for the challenge? As a Senior Product Manager you will investigate and understand customer business goals, architecture, scale and service level objectives needed for Splunk use cases and organizational challenges that these customers need to overcome on their journey to the Cloud. You will own a multi-year roadmap on how Splunk partners with these ultra large customers on their journey to the Cloud, whether it's hybrid or full SaaS. Requirements
You have 5-8 years of experience in an operational role, and 2-3 years of product management experience.
You have a deep understanding of operational aspects of delivering large scale Splunk environments, whether on-premise or in public clouds.
You have shown the ability to lead without authority plus to comfortably articulate your requirements via verbal and written communication skills.
You enjoy engaging with customers on business and operational topics.

What you’ll get to do   Product lead for Federated Analytics area who will define the roadmap to maximize customer adoption and usage
Engage with customers (internal and external) and field teams to understand product gaps and translate them into clear priorities and roadmap
Engage with partners to understand their offerings
Develop product requirements, user stories, wireframes to drive new product
Work with developers and architects to brainstorm solutions and define clear success criteria
Establish relationships with customers and internal and external collaborators to collect key user and customer needs and validate potential solutions
Collaborate with customers, engineering, UX, PMs, technical sales, marketing, and field on a regular cadence
Must-have Qualifications   Requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
10+ experience as a Product Manager in enterprise software industry
Proven ability to build and launch a successful analytics product
Experience with go-to-market, pricing, customer adoption
Experience working with cross-functional teams and influence product strategy while working in a mid-large scale software company
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborative, with strong communication skills to translate sophisticated technical products and features into simple concepts and presentations.
Ability to make data-based and strategic business decisions driven by value, including making reasoned decisions in the face of uncertainty or imperfect data
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills characterized by visibility and conciseness with the ability to efficiently work with internal and external partners, including executive leadership
Validated technology security and compliance experience (5+ years), and expertise in compliance and certification requirements for frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI- DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53.
Relevant and industry-recognized professional security, compliance, and technology certifications are preferred (e.g CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement plans for attaining and maintaining prioritized regulatory and industry product certifications and affirmations of compliance
Understand the market and competition for use case support as a means of driving the adoption of Splunk technology
Support product feature planning process and go-to-market activities
Must-have Qualifications   6+ years of experience in product compliance, preferably in a technical advisory capacity
Strong sense of customer compassion to care deeply about customer problems and user experience
Collaborative, with strong communication skills to translate sophisticated technical products and features into simple concepts and presentations.
Ability to make data-based and strategic business decisions driven by value, including making reasoned decisions in the face of uncertainty or imperfect data
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills characterized by visibility and conciseness with the ability to efficiently work with internal and external partners, including executive leadership
Validated technology security and compliance experience (5+ years), and expertise in compliance and certification requirements for frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI- DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53.
Relevant and industry-recognized professional security, compliance, and technology certifications are preferred (e.g CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC)
Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area is a minimum, Master’s degree is preferred

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $159,200.00 - 218,900.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $143,280.00 - 197,010.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $127,360.00 - 175,120.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.  In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
