In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and optimization of large-scale batch data processing systems and data infrastructure. Your team’s work will enable efficient data pipelines and warehouses, providing critical insights that drive business decisions. You will foster a culture of accountability and innovation, ensuring your team delivers results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Lead the Offline Infrastructure Team: Manage and mentor a team of engineers focused on batch data processing and infrastructure.</li><li>Develop Scalable Data Pipelines: Oversee the development and implementation of high-performance batch data pipelines and infrastructure.</li><li>Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to integrate data insights into business processes.</li><li>Drive Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends in data engineering and cloud infrastructure to enhance our data capabilities.</li><li>Ensure Data Reliability: Continuously improve the quality, performance, and reliability of data systems.</li><li>Project Management: Apply agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions aligned with organizational priorities.</li><li>Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to shape the technical vision and roadmap for offline infrastructure.</li></ol>Required Qualifications:<ol><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</li><li>10+ years of experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, or technical leadership roles.</li><li>Experience managing cross-functional teams, balancing both technical leadership and people management responsibilities.</li><li>Proven expertise with distributed batch processing systems (e.g., Apache Spark, Bigquery, Airflow).</li><li>Proficiency in Python, Go, or SQL, with experience in optimizing large-scale data systems.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS for building scalable data architectures.</li></ol>Preferred Qualifications:<ol><li>Experience in high-growth environments or startups, focusing on scaling data systems.</li><li>Experience working with open table formats like Hudi/Iceberg/Delta Lake etc.</li><li>Expertise in data lakes, data warehousing, and DataOps.</li><li>Strong business acumen to align technical projects with overall business strategy.</li></ol>Why Narvar?We're on a mission to simplify the everyday lives of consumers.
