General Purpose:The Engineering Manager is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance functions, engineering, and site facilities. The Engineering Manager works closely with plant management, plant employees, and serves as a liaison with the DFA enterprise wide functional departments such as Quality Assurance and Compliance, Human Resources, Accounting, Engineering, Purchasing, Research and Development, and Risk Management. Please note that PE licensure, background, and experience in geology or geotechnical fields are necessary to be eligible for this position. As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will demonstrate your ability to design and implement geotechnical field investigations, perform engineering calculations, prepare geotechnical investigation reports, and provide final technical quality control for the design of shallow and deep foundations, slip/landslide investigations, slopes, retaining walls, pavements, and other earthen structures. Experience with providing consulting support during construction is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in commercial/industrial development projects and projects related to oil & gas facilities and pipeline construction.We need a collaborative team player who can establish strong professional relationships.
