Present findings and recommendations to R&D leadership and cross-functional teams, driving informed decision-making.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
Partner with researchers, marketing and product development teams to provide data-driven support throughout the R&D lifecycle.
Contribute to cross-functional projects, offering expertise in data science and analytics.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning, incorporating new techniques and methodologies into R&D processes.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product, sales, customer retention, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization, and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods and data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of sales process, marketing techniques, customer retention, product development, and business strategies.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
Use predictive modeling and machine-learning algorithms to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges, coordinate with different functional teams to implement findings and monitor outcomes.
Develop automated processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Communicate results and insights, both verbally and written (including visual graphics), in a clear and concise manner to a non-technical audience
Assist with data governance to maintain data quality

Requirements
5+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models. BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on ideal customer profile and customer retention.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams; Analytical mind and strong business acumen.
Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional team to drive changes in various business areas.
Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, Scikit-Learn, and well-known machine learning frameworks and techniques) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets, and using web services: AWS Redshift, S3, etc.
Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, natural language processing, decision trees, neural networks, etc. and knowledge of their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, A/B testing, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

The purpose of the Data Scientist role is to embed data-driven approaches into the core of our R&D processes, build a data-centric culture, provide recommendation on the process to adopt on linking R&D generated data to the rest of the business. The Data Scientist is expected to perform all duties in a safe manner and to maintain a safe and secure operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management:
Design and implement robust data collection frameworks within the existing capabilities, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and relevant.
Collaborate with R&D team to adapt R&D processes and data workflow, ensuring data is accessible, secure, and compliant with regulations.

Data Analysis and Insights Generation:
Perform advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to uncover trends, patterns, and insights from R&D data.
Develop custom algorithms and models to support product development, process optimization, and innovation initiatives.

Tool and Technology Integration:
Evaluate and implement data analytics tools and technologies to enhance the R&D digitalization process.
Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate these tools with existing systems and workflows.

Visualization and Communication of Findings:
Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate complex analytical results to non-technical stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to R&D leadership and cross-functional teams, driving informed decision-making.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
Partner with researchers, marketing and product development teams to provide data-driven support throughout the R&D lifecycle.
Contribute to cross-functional projects, offering expertise in data science and analytics.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning, incorporating new techniques and methodologies into R&D processes.
Continuously improve data analytics practices, seeking ways to optimize and streamline data-driven decision-making.

Mentorship and Training:
Provide guidance and training to R&D team members on data science principles, tools, and best practices.
Foster a data-centric culture within the department, encouraging the adoption of data-driven approaches.

Project Management:
Lead data science projects from conception through execution, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Compliance and Ethical Considerations:
Ensure all data science practices adhere to ethical guidelines, privacy regulations, and company policies.
Work in collaboration with IT to address and mitigate risks associated with data security and the use of AI in R&D processes.
