Position: Data Architect & ( State Dept Project Experience Needed )

Duration : Contract

Location : Tallahassee, Florida

Responsibilities

Implementation & Design:

Data Warehouse Analysis:

Conduct analyses of the Data Warehouse data model, underlying architecture, and security configurations.
Identify gaps and make recommendations to resolve them.
Maintain the logical and physical data model.

Data Integration:

Implement and manage Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
Integrate legacy data with Oracle tools like Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).

Optimization:

Enhance the performance of database queries, materialized views, and reporting solutions.
Ensure data consistency and integrity across platforms.

Collaboration:

Work closely with:
Project stakeholders, including architects and the Software and System Integrator (SSI).
State policy groups and vendors to identify and address complex data challenges.

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation:

Document data flows, configurations, and architecture for long-term project continuity.
Share best practices to ensure efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in:
Data Warehouse implementation and database design/administration.
Using Oracle tools such as:
Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
Data modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas.
Expertise in:
SQL and OLAP processes.
Metadata management and business intelligence configurations.
ETL tools like Informatica and Business Intelligence Application Configuration Manager (BIACM).

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience working on state or large government projects.
Certifications such as:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
Knowledge of tools like PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with advanced Oracle reporting tools.
