Your Role
The Health Data Transformation & Evaluation team drives implementation of the Digital Health Record (DHR). As the business driver, the team leads the integration of various data sources into a longitudinal patient record. The Data Analyst-Health, Principal, will report to Sr. Manager, Health Data Strategy. In this role you will oversee, as a Business Product Owner, the design, development, testing, and deployment of the Digital Health Record, ensuring that it meets Blue Shield's data-driven objectives. In addition, this role will lead efforts to validate accuracy and integrity of data received from DHR sources and its adoption within the operational workflows by end-users.

Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires an MPH, MBA, MS, MA in science, social science, public health, MIS, computer science, data science, health services research or business, or BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience
Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, with at least 5 years of in Health Care (managed care, academic, or government payer)
Proficiency and experience in health informatics is preferred
Familiarity with health information exchanges, interoperability, longitudinal patient records and meaningful use is preferred
Experience validating the quality and integrity of incoming data is preferred
Prior experience in data analysis and reporting, such as SQL, BI tools, and data visualization is preferred
Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, and Git is preferred

Your Role
The Risk Adjustment Prospective team (aka ProsPr) focused on transforming health care by making it more accessible, affordable and customer-centric. The Health Data Analyst, Senior will report to the Senior Manager of Risk Adjustment. In this role you will lead the data reporting and analytics for the team while supporting the In-Home Visit program (IHV) and In-Office Assessment program (IOA). This includes interaction within the Risk Adjustment team, with various cross-functional teams within Blue Shield, Blue Shield IPA/MG, working directly with our vendors and supporting our programs with all data related. The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, project management skills, organizational skills, has high attention to detail, and is self-motivated. The candidate will also possess a desire to continually learn.
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires an MPH, MBA, MS, MA in science, social science, public health, health svcs research or business, or BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience. PhD preferred.
Requires minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Requires 3-5 years' experience in Health Care (managed care, academic, or gov't payer), prefers demonstrated ability to work with all clinical coding systems (e.g., ICD10, CPT, DRG, LOINC, RxHUB).
