Job Overview We have a newly created opportunity for a Lead SAP Business Analyst - MM to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O'Hare). Fully remote work or alternative work locations will not be considered.

As a Lead SAP Business Analyst - MM you will:
Be a knowledge expert within the Information Technology organization responsible for the design, implementation and improvement of the SAP ECC and S/4 HANA systems related to Materials Management used by Komatsu.
Monitor integration points between SAP ECC or S4 Hana and other applications, troubleshoot and support integration errors and work with internal IT to resolve issues.
Develop and oversee project plans, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployment, and documentation processes focusing on implementing regional and global strategies, particularly in SAP S/4 HANA.
Identify approaches for new processes and recommend improvements to automate or simplify existing processes related to materials management.
Configure and test system processes and troubleshoot, document, and resolve system related issues.
Analyze global business processes and procedures implemented in a single instance of SAP S/4 Hana.

Key Job Responsibilities Business Process Knowledge
Analyze as is business processes, document to be business processes and complete Business Process Procedure documents as part of the blueprint process.
Write and execute unit and integration test scripts as well as perform regression testing for any enhancements affecting global objects.
Create training material related to materials management business processes and provide training as part of a deployment project.
Effectively communicate and work within a global team from a remote location and coordinate and complete assignments for implementations, upgrades, modifications, and value opportunities associated with Materials Management process.

SAP Implementation and Configuration
Complete configuration related to material management process in SAP ECC or S4 Hana and test new configuration for the global project implementation.
Expert in Material management process including: procuring, processing and production of materials with transactions such as Purchase Order (PO), Purchase Requisition (PR), Contracts, Inventory Valuation, Vendor Management and Materials Requirement Planning.
Perform research online as needed to provide solutions to technical issues in SAP ECC and S4 Hana applications.
Ensure material management business requirements are translated into detailed functional specifications and consider cross functional impacts, associated risks, cost benefit analysis, business justification, audit guidelines and global support requirements.
Complete analysis of functionality available to meet business requirements or to propose process improvements.

Project Activities
Attend meetings, conference calls and Teams meetings for project rollouts and enhancements.
Communicate with peers on cross functional activities related to project rollouts and enhancements.
Perform data mapping exercise and execute data migration programs.
Work with external consultants to ensure current business processes are followed and that there is documentation of work done by the consultants for future support.

Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis in IS, IT; professional certification beneficial.
8+ years of progressive experience to include: Configuring, testing and supporting SAP Materials Management, assisting SAP business users on standard functionality and business processes, testing of new functionality and leading.
Expert in Material management process including procuring, processing and production of materials with transactions such as Purchase Order (PO), Purchase Requisition (PR), Contracts, Inventory Valuation, Vendor Management and Materials Requirement Planning.
Knowledge of software application architecture, programming, software engineering, relational database theory and design, and project management.
Previous project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
Previous experience leading, mentoring, and coaching junior employees.
Business knowledge should include all phases of system development, from analysis through project planning, through implementation and support.
Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus, especially Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Russian or Polish.

In this role you will serve as a knowledge expert within the Information Technology Organization:
Responsible for the design, implementation and improvement of the SAP ECC and S4 Hana systems related to Engineering Interfaces, Engineering Change Management, Variant Configuration (Master data), Classification and P2P integration for our global business units.
Develop strong partnerships with business leadership and functional team to ensure open communication and alignment on ongoing initiatives and understanding of business requirements and impacts.
Trusted partner of the EBPO team to deliver business transformation Project Monarch with SAP S/4 Hana platform for Design to Operation (DTO) as well as interfaces to Plan to Deliver (P2D). Provide alignment with business leadership to ensure the transformation project new processes realize business values identified.
Discuss and implement process improvements individually or with the AMS team that are consistent to business strategy, maintain an awareness of functional best practices, and partner with the user community and business user leadership to appropriately prioritize requests to balance future technology and business needs.
Evaluate current state applications environment and drive initiatives to improve and deliver optimized solutions leveraging AMS resources when possible.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with IT peers, AMS, cross-functional team members, internal customers, and external contacts such as suppliers & customers.
Assign, design, configure, develop and document system change requests per departmental systems life cycle and audit guidelines including thorough use of ticket logging system (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow or equivalent).
Develop detailed project tasks to support assigned projects, participate/lead configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation processes focusing on implementing regional and global strategies for assigned work.

Expert in Engineering Change Management including interfaces, Materials, BOMs, VC and classification. Some experience with MRP, Production, Workflow advantageous.
Knowledge of software application architecture, programming, software engineering, relational database theory and design including the SAP architecture basics for Netweaver, Fiori, etc.
Previous project management experience and ability to manage multiple small projects.
Previous experience leading, mentoring, and coaching junior employees & support staff (3rd party support organization/AMS).
Business knowledge should include all phases of system development, from requirements identification, project planning, analysis, implementation and support.
Working knowledge of databases, applications, and data integration interfaces.
