We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst to join American Tower’s Information Technology (IT) team. The IT team delivers quality software solutions that provide measurable business value. Day to day you will provide broad functional and technical expertise in the review, analysis, development and implementation of business processes and applications. As a Principal Business Analyst, you will partner cross-functionally to streamline IT processes and improve the quality of customer services.

What You Can Offer Us

Lead and advise Business Analysts, sharing knowledge and expertise to assist with application functionality and design.

Provide cross-functional and technical expertise across multiple business areas, including system and process integration points.

Provide strategic, forward-looking vision when configuring or customizing solutions to maintain flexibility and future integration opportunities.

Lead cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document and analyze business requirements and functional specifications for complex cross-functional projects; identify unspoken or conflicting requirements and challenge the status quo.

Lead new product reviews, tests and pilots. Evaluate new products and provide recommendations.

Conduct peer reviews of project deliverables to ensure high-quality solutions and deliverables.

Create networks of senior internal and external colleagues to maintain relationships and stay current on industry developments.

Manage projects and identify issues with timelines or completion of projects; work with Project Management Organization and internal customers to address.

Maintain project tasks through the production ticket system or project server. Keep Project Manager informed of any issues.

Create or assist with the creation and execution of cross-functional test scripts to ensure that post-production issues are minimal.

Facilitate the business and operational readiness for deployment of systems and process changes and introduction of new products.

What You Need To Succeed

Master’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in business analysis, application design, implementation and support or as a super user preferred.

Experience in the tower industry, operations, leasing or real estate preferred.

If supporting financial applications, prior experience in finance and accounting environment preferred.

Approximately 25% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:
The Group Membership Association Department (GMAD) is looking to add a Business Analyst to support our critical business applications. The business analyst will be tasked with working with the business areas and various vendors to support and enhance the applications as well as work with Enterprise Technology on any corporate changes to the applications. The business analyst will also be responsible for reporting requests that are raised for the supported applications.
What You'll Do:
Work with the business areas to gather and write business requirement documents.
Work with the vendor(s) to ensure understanding of requirements.
Work with the vendor(s) and other areas of the organization to implement software enhancements and support production instance of application(s).
Ensure that vendor enhancements are completed on time and within budget.
Support Quality Assurance (QA) Testing of enhancements and fixes to the applications.
Be the first level of support on production issues.
Liaison with Enterprise Technology teams on corporate initiatives and infrastructure changes for applications that are hosted in New York Life data centers.
Create and update reports based on business requests.
Create time-sensitive ad hoc reports and queries for regulatory requirements and audits.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum 3 years business analyst experience.
Bachelor's degree required, strong analytical skills.
Experience in report creation and working with database queries.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Effective time management and project coordination skills to handle multiple projects.
Ability to work with tight deadlines and changing requirements and priorities.
Ability to work independently as well as be part of a larger team effort.
Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
Ability to create effective partnerships with diverse roles and positions throughout the organization.
This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working on site one day per week.
Salary range: $90,000 - 110,000

This is a n onsite role with the client based out of Boston, MA .

Pay Range: $60.00/hr to $65.00/hr

Our client is looking for a part-time Business Analyst / System Architect. The Business Analyst / System Architect will be responsible for discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business processes and requirements for the client’sproject. The BA facilitates requirements gathering and business process re-engineering with project participant groups. The BA will also be involved in on the quality assurance efforts for the project, matching test plan creation with documented requirements and coordinating testing activity to project requirements. The BA is an integral part of project teams and responsible for understanding and representing the client's requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The BA will need to comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum project approach in order to ensure the project delivery, consistent with program priorities, agreed upon scope, timeframe, and budget.

Business Analyst / System Architect Responsibilities:

Working with clients to analyze, design and develop new business processes to meet the business objectives.

Facilitating workshops with diverse clients to reach agreement on requirements.

Translating and documenting business processes and requirements into use cases, activity diagrams, and other models.

Working with Project Managers, in an Agile/Scrum context, to ensure smooth and timely completion of requirements.

Providing input on scope and approach in project plans, based on an understanding of the clients' requirements and priorities.

Working with internal IS&T teams to deliver functional specifications.

Acting as client advocate during project life cycle to ensure business requirements and processes are understood and addressed during design, development, SIT and UAT.

Conducting quality assurance activities

Business Analyst / System Architect Requirements:

Experience working successfully in a client oriented team environment

Experience in process re-engineering, requirements elicitation, and creating and maintaining related project documentation

Excellent listening and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Able to collaborate with clients and think of out-of-the-box solutions

Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

B.A. /B.S. Required

3+ years of related experience

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.00/hr to $65.00/hr.
