The Data Analyst will work with the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education to improve student retention by working across the institute to assure that machine learning and Artificial Intelligence modeling is applied to student retention data and used to develop and implement relevant AI based programming for all undergraduate cohorts.Specifically, Data Analyst will perform the following duties: Work with a team of professionals to develop annual predictions of student performance using the Student Outcomes and Predication with Human in the Loop Artificial Intelligence and integrate learning analytics with existing human-intelligence networks so that alerts, predictive models, and outreach to students might be improved; Work with a team of students and faculty to provide Student life with real time monitoring of students using the Early Warning System or LMS; Maintain, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and develop strategies to advance academic achievement and student success and use data to assess the effectiveness of academic and support services, and develop strategies and programs that align with the Institutes student success and retention goals; Participate on the university Student Intervention Team with Student Life and provide updates to Student Life Leadership and the Dean regarding data trends and analysis; and Work with the Advising and Learning Assistance Center (ALAC) the Office of the Registrar, and the Division of the Chief Information Officer to optimize student advising and paperwork using chat bots and other technologies.
