Position Overview
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is a naval research activity operating under the direction of the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) which provides research, development, test and evaluation, engineering analysis and assessment, as well as Fleet support capabilities for submarines, autonomous underwater vehicles/systems, and offensive and defensive undersea weapon systems, and stewards existing and emerging technologies in support of undersea warfare.

Responsibilities
Collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to the Government.

Provide services in support of the development and refinement of Code 34 Departmental business processes, specifically in the area of financial practices for all projects. This includes the support of and participation in LEAN events and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other events involving Code 34 business processes and improvements.
Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.
Develop solutions to problems. In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.

Data Engineers will work closely with data scientists and support the activities of the organization across multiple environments in order to exploit data of various types and security levels.
